Okay, this is my entry for

This is the 5th house Roering.
The Founder of this house was Aquinara Roering after whom it was named.
The reason that a fifth house came about at all so long after the original founding of the school was that it became necessary to accommodate the range of students now entering Hogwarts after the demise of Lord Voldemort. The need for a new house became apparent only a year after that fateful night when the sorting hat was suddenly unable to place almost half of the incoming students.
Determined not to leave these students misplaced, one of the new teachers named Aquinara Roering petitioned the new Hogwarts head master for permission to take these students under her proverbial wing and be in charge of them. Without any other option presenting itself he had no other choice and so granted the request.
The house was established inside of a decade as it's student body number grew exponentialy, although still only a fraction of the incoming 1st years ever make it into this house.
The mascot of this house is the animagus form of Aquinara which is an extinct fleur fish which was so named for the fanciful lines that adorn it's body as well as it's taste for water lilies.
The colors of the house are Blue, Gold, Purple, and Red.
Students that are drafted into this house tend to be fairly introverted (but friendly), artistic, emotional (with mercurial mood swings, hence why 70% are girls), and intelligent beyond their own realization. They often are the middle children of families although that is not true of every student and they do equally well in Care of Magical Creatures as in Potions.
I do not own Hogwarts or any part thereof.
